DivotHero ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data.

Information We Collect

When you create an account and use DivotHero, we collect:

• Account information: your full name and email address, provided when you register or sign in with Apple.
• Location data: GPS coordinates used in real time to detect which hole you are on at the golf course. Location is accessed only while you are actively using the app and is not stored continuously or in the background.
• Repair photos: before-and-after photos you take of course repairs (ball marks, divots, etc.), which are uploaded as part of your submission.
• Submission data: the repair type, hole number, timestamp, and course associated with each repair you submit.
• Rewards data: your points balance and reward redemption history.

How We Use Your Information

• Authentication: your name and email are used to create and manage your account.
• Course verification: GPS coordinates are used in real time to confirm you are on a golf course hole before allowing a repair submission. This data is not stored after the check is complete.
• Repair review: your photos and submission data are sent to course staff for approval and to our AI analysis service for quality verification.
• Rewards: approved submissions are used to calculate and update your points balance.
• App improvement: submission and usage patterns may be reviewed in aggregate to improve the product.

AI Analysis

Your before-and-after repair photos are processed by Google Gemini, an AI service, to help verify that repairs are genuine. Google processes these images under their API terms of service. Per Google's policy for the Gemini API, submitted images are not used to train Google's AI models.

Who Can See Your Data

Your repair submissions — including photos, repair type, hole number, and approval status — are visible to staff at the golf course where you submitted them. Your data is isolated to that course and is not shared with other courses, other players, or any third party not described in this policy.

Third-Party Services

DivotHero uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Storage) — account authentication, database storage, and photo storage. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. See Google's privacy policy.
• Sign in with Apple — optional authentication method. Apple may provide a private relay email address. See Apple's privacy policy.
• Google Gemini API — AI analysis of repair photos as described above.

We do not sell your data to any third party, and we do not use your data for advertising purposes.

Data Retention

Your account data and repair history are retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data — including your profile, repair submissions, photos, and rewards balance — is permanently deleted from our systems.

Your Rights and Choices

You can delete your account at any time directly within the DivotHero app by going to the home screen menu and selecting "Delete Account." Deletion is permanent and immediate. Your repair history, photos, points balance, and account credentials will be removed.

You may also request deletion or ask questions about your data by emailing privacy@divothero.com. We will respond to requests within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

DivotHero is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@divothero.com and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as DivotHero evolves. If we make material changes, we will notify you within the app or by email before the changes take effect. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
